If I could clone myself, THIS is the AI startup I'd build right now

David Basulto shares his experience teaching kids how to use AI creatively in the classroom!

In this podcast, I’m joined by David Basulto - he’s an award winning high school media instructor based in LA, Apple learning coach, and Founder and Owner of iographer.com. David shares his early background in Hollywood and how he found his passion for teaching. We dive into David's experience teaching kids how to use AI creatively, video content creation, and tips for parents and educators who want to try hands-on AI projects with kids.

If I could clone myself right now, the startup I’d build is an AI Academy for Kids.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve posted videos explaining that there is:

  • viral organic demand

  • large underserved market

  • high willingness to pay (parents)

Literally, I posted the same exact video sharing resources for kids to learn AI, and it has gone viral FIVE times on Tiktok and Instagram. MILLIONS of views. No fancy edits. Same exact video 🤣

You might be skeptical.

Maybe it’s because I already have an existing audience?

Nope.

Here’s a REAL recent example that went viral (not posted by me) on a new account:

Sharing ideas for your kids to learn science & engineering from David Dodge, a fellow blotato user!

The good news?

I don’t believe this is a “winner takes all” market.

There’s lots of opportunity for MULTIPLE successful ventures, providing solutions from different angles, with differing products, focused on different demographics (elementary school vs. high school … America vs. Australia … English vs. Spanish).

100% honestly, if I wasn’t already building Blotato and growing fast, an “AI Academy for Kids” is the startup I’d build.

Because it “checks all the boxes” in terms of repeatable viral organic marketing, MVP feasibility, large market willing to pay, high pain point (parents FOMO), and high social impact. It also aligns perfectly with my mission to teach AI to millions of people.
