Top 10 AI Tools You Know Nothing About That Will Save You Thousands

My first video podcast ever, joining Bryan Elliot from Behind the Brand!

I recently joined Bryan Elliot from Behind the Brand to discuss lesser-known AI tools that can potentially save you thousands of dollars and/or thousands of hours.

In this post, I summarize a few takeaways from the chat.

But I highly recommend watching/listening to the full video podcast here:

Image Generation

AI image generation is improving fast, notably with tools like Ideogram that focus on rendering text within images accurately.

For creators like me, who rely on quality text-driven visuals for social media, this is a massive headache. I’m constantly regenerating AI images to finally get one with text rendered correctly.

Sometimes feels like I’m gambling on a slot machine 😅

Think of all the Midjourney images you’ve made where the text looks like an alien language! Unfortunately, they’re often unusable for social media posts.

However, tools like Ideogram signify a move towards more business-friendly images.

I can’t wait to be able to generate full-on infographics from a single prompt! …or a Linkedin carousel… or a lead magnet.

Health Insurance

Here in the US, most people agree our healthcare system is broken.

Many people are familiar with the frustration of having health insurance claims denied, often feeling like they're battling a heartless corporation with zero chance of winning.

A staggering stat I recently read:

1 in 7 health insurance claims in the US are denied.

But now there are startups emerging, like Fight Health Insurance, using AI to help patients draft more compelling appeal letters for denied claims.

In this use case, AI guides patients attempting to navigate our complex healthcare and insurance systems. It helps draft letters while also educating patients to better under their rights and options.

The potential here is massive and underserved.

It’s a sensitive urgent topic that strikes a chord among millions of Americans. Because of that, my Tiktok and Instagram videos on this topic have gone viral.

If you’re working in this area, I’d love to hear from you!

Content Creation

As a content creator, I love using AI to help me brainstorm ideas, generate 100+ hooks, draft outlines, write first drafts, criticize my writing, optimize for SEO, and research relevant articles, statistics, and quotes.

For example, I wrote a blog about young entrepreneurs making waves with viral AI apps. With a little help from AI, I found additional examples and relevant research quickly.

I love using AI as a creative partner at every step in my process, especially ideation.

For example, I have a ChatGPT prompt that learns from 200+ viral video hooks I’ve compiled and then generates potential hooks for my social media videos. Although it’s rapid and cheap to produce 100 hook variations, the real magic happens when I choose a few I like, then sprinkle in my magic + personality + insights.

Most importantly, AI helps me get un-stuck and stay moving (i.e. writing/filming).

It’s discouraging when content doesn’t “pop off” or gain meaningful traction. But, using AI helps me keep going, stay consistent, and avoid the dreaded blank-page syndrome!

Personally, however, I’m not a fan of 100% AI generated content.

I’m a massive fan of 70% AI generated content with high-quality prompts, then 30% adding your unique perspective, insights, advice, and point of view.

👆️ This is my playbook growing to ~350,000 followers in 6 months with $0 ad spend.

Conversational AI Voice Agents

Conversational AI voice bots have a bad rap.

And, for good reason.

Before ChatGPT and generative AI, voice/chat bots were cold, rigid, and inflexible. If you asked a question it wasn’t pre-programmed to answer, it was game over.

But now with ChatGPT and generative AI, today’s conversational agents can provide meaningful interactions and assist with customer service much more smoothly.

Not perfect, but much better than before, with way more flexibility and versatility.

It’s well-documented that contacting leads within 1 minute of their form submission or voicemail will MULTIPLY your conversion rate.

But, in practice, this was difficult to do.

Nobody’s there to answer calls outside of work hours.

What if your main receptionist (or whoever answers the phone) is out sick?

However, new AI tools like Bland.AI and Air.AI offer this functionality at a reasonable price businesses of all sizes, from SMB to enterprise. Their AI voice bots can call millions of customers or prospects simultaneously, ensuring no lead gets left behind.

Whether it's answering frequently asked questions or scheduling appointments, AI bots can instantly call back customers who’ve expressed interest in your product or service, engage in a reasonably useful back-and-forth conversation, ask qualifying questions, and drive towards booking an appointment.

My personal thoughts:

I love working with local companies who get back to me quickly. It makes a massive difference in my experience and happiness as a customer!
